Greetings! My name is Penny.
I’m married to Duane and the mother of four grown children, grandmother of four. Most of us live in the beautiful Piney Woods of East Texas. I am a Creative Writing teacher in our fellowship’s Christian Academy. I also enjoy amateur photography, the piano and the guitar.
How My Blog Idea Began:
A month has not gone by someone didn’t pose this question to me.
“Penny for your thoughts?”
Perhaps it might be phrased,
“What’s your two cents worth?”
In either case, the inquirer might not be truly interested in what I thought nor wanting to spend the penny or pennies, as it were, to learn them.
When I needed to decide on a title for my blog, I remembered the questions and felt they’d work into my theme quite nicely. Here on the pages to come will be my thoughts, my two cents worth, if they are, indeed, worth that much.
Aside from my inspiring insights, you’ll find that I like to read and go to movies (although I find less of the latter of interest these days). Sometimes I’m inspired to give my two cents on the book or movie.
Me and my blog are growing:
I am a book reviewer for Thomas Nelson’s ‘Book Sneeze”.
I am an affiliate for Amazon.com
I am disclosing this (and the other affiliate information) according to the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 C.F.R., Part 255.
Book Reviews –
- First of all, I am not the only one to review the book or movie. By clicking the link, you’ll be taken to Amazon where you can read other reviews.
- Secondly, if you think you’d like to buy it, you can buy it while you’re there.
- I buy most of my books through Amazon, and now I own a Kindle. I’m finding it to be an excellent way to read and store books to be read.
As book reviewer, from time to time I receive a book from the BookSneeze.com books for their blogging program. I am not paid to do this. I am given the book, but I write my review based on my personal opinion, whether it be positive or negative. I am a writer. =0)

This was my first year to join NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. I am happy to say that I successfully completed the 50,000 words and have my first novel in the editing process. In the month of November, writers from all over join and set themselves the goal of writing 50,000 words before the month ends.

Christian Writers Guild
I am a member, and I completed their Apprentice writing course.
Most importantly,
I am follower of Jesus who wants more than anything to represent of who He is in my life. What I write comes from that place in me that once was hurt and lost, but is now on a road to recovery, spirit, soul and body –
I enjoy writing and reading. I hope to inspire you, my friends, with the life and light I find in me.
